What they have to say about practice for the Indianapolis 500:
Justin Wilson, No. 22 Z-Line Designs: “Today the car felt great. It
has been the same as the last few days. It feels nice and balanced
and easy to drive. We just trimmed it out so that we could get closer
to the edge. We got some quick times. We did one time with a slight
tow and came back in and made some slight adjustments. We went back
out on a completely clear track and almost matched it within a tenth
of a mile an hour. We did a
Tomas Scheckter, No.23 Mona Vie: “The car feels alright. We are still
working on a couple of things. It seems like we had the same amount
of speed that we had yesterday. This afternoon we got back out
there
and did more race runs. So far, everything has been going according
to plan and hopefully we can put it all together for tomorrow.”
Mike Conway, No. 24 Dad’s Root Beer: “We made some good changes to the
car. Today was another steady day. Every step that we went to seemed
to improve the car, which was a good thing. We have another couple of
steps to try again and then we should have a good car for the race and
for qualifying. Tomorrow we will go for qualifying times and see what
we have. Overall, I think all four of our cars are pretty close and
step by step each car is getting better and better and we keep
learning a lot from each other. Tonight we will get together and see
what we come up with, but I think we will be good for tomorrow.”
Ana Beatriz, No. 25 Ipiranga: “I think that we were pretty productive
for today. We only have two sets of tires per day and we had to plan
on what we were going to do. We had a good first session and in the
second session we changed some things. Some of it worked and some
didn’t, but that means we are progressing and finding things.
Tomorrow, hopefully we can find a little bit more speed.”
